Red Palm Weevil Fumigation Costa del Sol
The Red Palm Weevil poses a large threat to palm trees all around the world but is notoriously prevalent in southern Europe. A fully-grown weevil can be as large as 5cm and lay as many as 250 eggs at a time. The nature of their reproduction cycle requires them to lay their eggs in palm trees, where larvae grow and fully destroys the structure of the tree.
If you notice yellowing leaves, usually starting at the crown, we recommend calling Red Squirrel Tree Surgery immediately. This is a pest that spreads quickly and viciously, so it's important that action is taken straight away to ensure minimal damage.
Our expert team of tree surgeons on the Costa del Sol has a tried-and-tested method of fumigation, and our three-step process will kill, eradicate and prevent the Red Palm Weevil from destroying your palm trees further.
